    figured it out.
    i had a p2t obd2a but i bought a p2t obd2b
    the obd2a is jdm
i used a jumper harness to link up the obd2b
BUT unlike the obd2a the obd2b needs a crankshaft fluxuation sensor.
    which i do not have.

have to get another p2t OBD-2a

nice find. you could also tie the pinout of the cfs to ground because the purpose of that sensor is to detect movement; therefore when the car engine is running, it is grounded....i am not quite sure how this will effect the redline, but if you try it and it works, then let me know....it is safe to ground the I/O pin ...just make sure it is the right pin ....if you want to be safe then go to radioshack and grab a 10k resistor and a 100 ohm resistor and tie them in parallel between the pin and ground.

there is a trick you can do to that ecu so that you dont need a fluxuation sensor. look it up. im sure its really easy to do.

i believe the trick that he is refering to is tying the cyp and ckf together...this does not fix the problem, it just ties it to another sensor and piggybacks off of the data. it should work just fine, but you will also need to ground the ckf sensor pin to prevent the ecu from trying to read the non existing sensor in the first place. i forgot what pins correspond to what but i know all the pins that you need is on the big blue plug labeled "c". there should be 2 pins for the cyp, 2 pins for the ckf, 1 pin for the ckf out and of course 1 for the ecu gnd. sorry if the info is uber vague...i ll check the pinout info later at work and will update this afternoon if i can
