    Smile Honda Accord ODB2 motor to ODB1 car

    Waz up my fellow Honda Guys i am about to by a 1994 honda accord with a blown motor and i was going to put my motor in it but i am new to the whole odb1 thing so how hard would it be to put my 1996 vtec motor into a non vtec body and what all do i need to change out i know i need to change out the o2,dizzy,all sensors but what else and how long do you think it would take thanks for all your help

    the 94 harness from your old motor can be put on the 96 motor. you will need to run the wires for vtec. and you need a 94 95 accord vtec ecu. use the 94 rear bracket and motor mount. if the car is auto you need to make sure you buy the auto ecu and use the tcu thats aready in the car. if its 5spd buy a 5 spd 94 95 accord vtec from the junkyard.

    You don't have to run VTEC or change ECU's. It will drive and run fine without hooking up VTEC. Just swap over the old sensors that have different plugs for OBD2.

    Then after you get it in you can add the VTEC wiring and ECU.
