shifter vibrating in integra

hey guys j.w. my shifter vibrate a lot to the pint it make noise when i drive it. when im going about 60 + the noise get louder... it does have a short shifter but i dont know if it bc of the s.shifter or not.

what can i do to test to see if its the motor mounts / tranny / s.shifter.

Are you missing the rubber boot, the one underneath your "normal" boot that seals the inside from the outside? Do you have aftermarket mounts or inserts? That may cause your mounts to be too stiff... Just some ideas, hope you find out.

i checked it its still there maybe i just need new inserts... but thanks for the help bro.

yeah check your bushings. i have a honda short shifter in my car and it does the same thing. it could be partly because its not a honda either. lol

my civic does it and it because i dont have the bushings inbetween the shifter and the shiftlinkage because the stock bushings will not fit with a short throw

yep i checked i think i need new bushing.... my friend was telling me about power bushing that i can get to see if that will work thanks by the way for the help

On this topic, which shift bushings would you use? I think I need a new set to clean up some sloppiness in my shifter as well. And I have the vibrating shifter thing too...mine will actually whine near redline.

ur linkage might b touching ur exhaust pipe!!
my short shifter was shacking alot 2 n i found out it was touching my exhaust!!
