ANy thing can run regular b to d.... Just results vary. I ran regular (87) on my boosted d series. and it was making 2XX. But that in yo pipe and smoke it.

Yes "anything" can run regular (cept diesel motors ), but that doesn't mean you should. I think the biggest issue with the h series swap is the shifter assembly. Going from hydraulic to cable isn't very hard but it is more work than a b series. Overall it is not a hard swap but requires a little more work, it really just comes down to what you plan on doing or wanting out of the car.
