    Default K swap info? 96 Teg 4dr

I'm very knowledgable, and can do B swaps with my eyes closed.

    However, I've got a 96 Integra, LS.

I'm really considering a K swap, but I have NO idea where to begin.

I live in BFE Pennsylvania, and I want to do something different up here, as apposed to all the riced out piles that run around.

What motor, and trans, as well as what it comes in stock, would be best? Easiest as far as swap, with a poss. of a mild NA build, or low boost (10-12 psi) later.
    What ECU?
How much of a pain in the ace is the wiring? I'm decent at wiring, though, I am definetely a little leary on the K swap wiring. I got to check out an EK in cleveland with a K swap, guy said there really wasn't much wiring at all.

What I know I need are, Hasport mounts (i'll probably build my own), hasport axles (if i want them to fit right)

Also, where can I get the components for the shifter assy.

Again with trying to be different up here. I have plans on a jdm bumper, lights hood and fenders, eventually. WIll that effect anything with this swap?

    search man.

for the most part the k20a2 is a good candidate and there is alot of aftermarket support for this motor. The k20z1 is a bit stronger but will require you to do a little modifying to the speed sensor. The k20a is BY FAR the best one but the most expensive one. Check out hybrid racing, R-Crew, hasport, chasebays, etc. This should get you started.

call hybrid racing, they got nearly all the bits and peices you need to do a k swap.. minus the actual swap

Alright, i'll have to do some searching. My b18 is smoking a bit. Could be just valve seals, or could be rings. It's tough to say with out tearing it down.

If i'm going to fix it, I'm going to do a completely Over haul. Which, I would have to do anyways if I plan on boosting. So, why not run a low mileage K, and throw 10psi at it.

Cost to cost, plus the uniqueness (up here), and the power changes, I see the swap worth it.

New plan, however I have some questions, as to whether this will work.

I found an 07 Civic Si crushed from the rear. Junk yard will sell it, w/out a title for 1500 (which, I am buying it)

Now, Onto the questions. I want to run the Guages, etc from the civic in my teg.

My new plan, now, is to buy this car. What I want to do, is pull the complete head to tail wiring, ECU, everything, and just slap it all in my car. I know, its a lot of work, but, winter is right around the corner, and the integra is getting put away anyways.

Now, I've read about immobilizers, will my plan work? doing that. I mean, taking EVERYTHING out. Any other brain boxes, etc.

Also, do the civic still come with the coded key? Whoever wrecked the car, for some reason, kept the keys. If the junk yard won't even let me see the title (i didnt find anything in the car showing me the crashing owner), how can I go about getting a key for said car? Or, can I have the honda Dealer check the ECU and order a key?

I also plan on making all the suspension and stuff work on the integra as well.

The front of the car is basically perfect, so i'll be selling hood, bumper, and anything else I dont use. I'm in PA but when I'm done, i'll make a FS thread, if anybody is willing to come take these things off my hands.

Lol the inspiration is there. I only went to check out the motor. They wanted 1200 for the motor, trans, wiring, and ecu, or I could drag the whole car out for 1500 lol.

Hence the reason, i want to know if my plan will work. I'd love to have all the new SI bells and whistles, as well as the power plant lo.

Plus, If i buy that magazine, i might not have enough money left to pay tax on the car lmao!

i wouldnt bother trying to utilize the gauges etc. because it will be a headache. go to www.hybrid-racing.com they have EVERYTHING needed to make the swap work. you WILL need a VSS converter and a 02-04 RSX ECU with the immobilizer bypass, OR k-pro. go to that webiste and start checking things out, because they have done plenty of k-swaps. Good luck!
    Who knows?

I don't think that I like you...lol. Nah, I really expected it to be a headache. I just really like the Civic Guages. I'll definitely be using the front seats, and I'm sure some other things.

I've checked out hybrid a couple of times. Every time I do, I drool a little lol.
