    Default Tilt sensor

Got a 07 CBR 1000 RR, and it's got a tilt sensor. Anyone know if its a good idea to turn it off? And how? I did a quick search and couldn't find much info on it.

Other than preventing the bike from starting if its not on the bikestand?

paper clip, jump it....and I would leave it alone unless yours is bad, then I would replace it.......you want it to die if you ever lay it down....

yes, you absolutely want the tip over switch to work. you dont want the motor to continue running after you crash for several reason. If its on its side, its not getting oil to the pickup, creating oil pressure loss and damaging your engine. Also, if there is a fuel leak, it will cut it off before it becomes a bigger fire hazard with a hot exhaust.

if your talking about the sidestand switch, then I would also leave that on. You dont want to take off with your sidestand down and then try to make a left hander and dig in your stand and crash.

i know almost all modern Japanese bikes have them. Not sure about Ducs if thats what your wondering.

if you tip the bike over while it running. all you gotta do is cycle everything, key off and on.

    ^No sir. My Yamaha R6.

We clearly figured out the Ducati doesn't. Well, at least the older ones.
