    Default Integra B18 Question.

Im looking to get an integra pretty soon and Wiki didnt help me much with this, which models have the B18 Vtec engine, the one with the 8k RPM redline? Not the one with the 6.(something) one. From what I have heard the LS is one without the high redline?

    ^what he said.

gsr and r's are the ones with vtec, unless you find a ls with a swapped motor or something.

and even if it is a LS Vtec it does not rev as high, correction, u should not rev it high. the LS blocks do not have oil squirters.

Which are primarily only used to cool the cast pistons. The R/S on the LS/Vtec is the biggest issue in high reving.

OP, good luck with your GSR or ITR quest. I recommend ITR if you plan on going staying NA. GSR if you plan on boosting down the road. Hell even LS stock can handle some good boost thrown at it.

revving a ls vtec is bad?

you guys are stuck in the past, I rev to 10,000 on my ls/vtec race engine (now 2 years running) and i revved to 9500 all day long on my past street ls vtecs making gobbs of power. fuck the "rod stroke ratio"
