they have a lip in the inside that if it gets cocked it will sip out oil... so yeah installed wrong I have seen this mannnnny times that is why (I) mechanic take a mirror and look all around the seal to make sure that the lip is perfect all around before (I) install the timing belt so i Know 100% sure it will not leak... Plus AUTOZONES (fel pro ) seals suck (the orange ones)

I only use Honda OEM only!

Most of the times if you lube the seal up it will slide in with out the lip bending...
