The crank may have a score in it. If you replace it again and it leaks then the crank may be messed up. You can inspect it when you replace it. You will have to take the crank out and have it welded up and machined if it is damaged by the seal. We have done this before for a customer.

this being the issue is 1-10000 happening I seen this all but 2 times in my 12 years experience.its just some kid that installed the seal wrong is the problem , I wouldnt be surprise that they didnt have the right tool to install it right to began with. They used a extension with a hammer I bet.I do that to but i am good with making sure it will not leak.
Also the chances of a new seal being bad is slightly also , Now buying a pos felpro (orange ones) I know they are a POS just like their orange valve cover gaskets/and grey ones.
Take it apart and check and It might even be the cam seals leaking which you can take the cover off to see if they are if not then it might as well be the crank.

    Good luck OP
