I don't really see a question, if the axle is still in the hub, and you got the other side of the axle in the tranny, use the whole hub as a hammer type deal and swing it until the axle goes in...

Or get a punch and a hammer, using the punch on the inside tip of the axle stub, to not damage threads, knock it out of the hub and install in tranny, then reinstall into hub.

The bitch pin, is just that, use the punch and hammer away, some are more of a pain than others...

and I think the shift linkage will work, as I have used d series eg's into ek's... I am sure B series is no diff other than del sol..
