    Default WTF...........

    how in the hell do i get my damn distributor seal to stop leaking? i got a O ring from the parts store and it leaked more. i bought one from honda and its still leaking.......HELP>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    are you sure its not coming from the valve cover or cam seal ?

    no you can see a perfect line where oil is coming from under the distributor. i put another O ring on it today so wish me luck lol.

    make sure your putting some lub on the o-ring before you install it, they will tear easy...

    Soemtimes the shaft on your dist will wear out and get loose and leak through the dizzy.

    so was your vtec solenoid 8D but that was nothing silicone cant fix..

    ok i finally got smart and took my distributor off and took it with me and matched one up and now NO LEAK...........

    and thats how you solve the problem with repeat fails, take the part your putting it on, and/or the old part that worked at one time.

    u sure it's from the distributor? theres a few spots there that it could be either one. that is leaking from.. check like the vtec solinoid, cam seal, & dizzy. put some high temp silicone on .. works out fine with mines

    Hopefully there is no scarring around that area that will cut the o-ring up.

    how would i check for that? when i put the dist back on. its alittle tight getting back in. i will check the O-ring thats on it for any cuts or rips tomorrow.

    Take a dab of hondabond and run it around the distributor where it touches the cam cap- should take care of problem

    i dont want to put it in the wrong place. could you send me a picture showing where to put the honda bond?
