Looking to put the battery in a different location and wanted to see if someone knows a shop that can make a battery relocation box to mount the battery in the area in the picture

Dang...That looks cool...Is it a safe location though?
do u know the owner of that car? maybe you could ask them where they got it?
looks like a simple bracket..attached to the frame..
That doesn't look safe at all...why do you want it there?????

yea im trying to figure that out too...........is it JDM tyte?Originally Posted by simontibbett
It makes zero sense to put the battery there. It's basically the same location as stock, except not in the engine bay. There's no box surrounding it to protect it... I imagine that your insurance company will be thrilled when a 5mph tap of a pole turns into a flaming explosion.
Why do you want it there? 99% of battery relocations are to the trunk/rear of the car or the middle, which helps with weight distribution. Even if you're shaving your engine bay so you want it relocated for purely aesthetic reasons, put it in the trunk so it's protected.
Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
Yeah why put dead weight overhanging past the front wheels??
Put it in the trunk.

Pointless just leave it alone where its suppose to go
not to mention how the heck are you going to jump it if it dies....
This thread is fail.
Lets take a heavy object and put it in the worst possible place on the car for weight distribution.![]()
I have an alternate location for you. Duct tape it to the roof.
Rich...Bob...Stan...?????
^yeah but is he going to think to get those?
Maybe its just for show? Not worried about performance, just want it to look clean?Originally Posted by simontibbett

Still no reason to put it there. So he puts thousands of dollars into a show car, and then gets to sit and watch it all burn and die when he catches a bad ground because of a rogue piece of gravel? Or he has to take off his front bumper to get a jumpstart or disconnect the battery, which is mandatory in indoor shows?Originally Posted by X-Runner
Seriously, OP. Put it in the trunk.

i imagine if they did it like this from the factory that they have a different battery and some kind of protection around it to prevent it from blowing up in a 10mph hitOriginally Posted by X-Runner
not to mention, i doubt this civic is really a show car...i'm 90% certain this will be his daily
What are you talking about? When a civic is disassembled for more than 3 months, it automatically becomes a show car with a baller build planned.Originally Posted by Sammich

That's just a stupid place to mount it with no reasoning.

And you think that why?Originally Posted by d16_turbo
only reason i can think of why d16 turbo would mount it there, is cause its out of the way, and not the famous place of the trunk.
i mean, shit i have my battery relocated underneath my dash.
is that a problem?
i can still get to it with easy.
how often do you need a jump though?
