if you have time and enough materials, i recommend that you machine sand ( orbital or DA ) until it is very very smooth and hazy... it should be nowhere near rough. then from there you wetsand 400-600-800-1000-15-2 and buff either by hand or machine until spickingly shiny.
those were the same exact instructions i told southside and it worked perfectly when he did it that way, examples
