anyways, did you
hand sand 220 until it was evenly hazy and smooth? if it wasnt evenly hazy everywhere... then it will not be shiny.
if you have time and enough materials, i recommend that you
machine sand ( orbital or DA ) until it is very very smooth and hazy... it should be nowhere near rough. then from there you wetsand 400-600-800-1000-15-2 and buff either by hand or machine until spickingly shiny.
those were the same exact instructions i told southside and it worked perfectly when he did it that way, examples
