    stock 99 pistons are 9.5 comp ratio and earlier na's were 9.0.

    Once I go full slicks its getting a set of 949 racing 6ULR's 15x9 and some Hoosier R6 275's. Right now I want to be able to run it wet/dry as it is and even drive it to the track if I feel like it. As I get everything dialed in and comfortable with the speeds it will achieve now I'll worry about going faster. I also want to make sure everything is up to the task and finish all the suspension before I push anything as hard as tires that size will do. I'll be perfectly honest, it scared me a bit as it is right now, so I don't need the car to go any faster till my nuts get a bit bigger. I don't see it ever really running autox much anymore, well anything past our local events. As it is even on 12psi it will take TOD pretty easily. My focus now is to get it stable at 150+ and work the aero to keep it planted. Until I can make sure its safe and stable I don't care if it will go any faster than it can right now.

    That seems like not a lot of wheel for that tire. I would try a set of kodiak (sp?) or something in a 16x9.5.

    What suspension setup are you running? rates etc.

    I had thought about running Kodiaks but Hoosier makes the size I want in a 15 that fits pretty well on the 6UL's. Right now we're running the same Koni coilovers that were on it and the spring rates are hopelessly inadeqate. The new parts will be AFCO coilovers with around 750/575 rates and some 949racing tubular control arms.

    Im guess everything poly or alum?

    I have just never liked stuffing tires onto the wheel as you lose predictably in the car front the sidewall flex.

    What are you doing swaybar wise?

    Also, have you considered trying some motons?

    I've thought about some Motons and some Koni Race coilovers. I still haven't ordered the coilovers since I'm not totally sure which I want quite yet. The sway bars are currently a hollow 1.25" and a solid 5/8th rear. Gonna keep them till I can see exactly what will work best. The 275's aren't too stuffed, nearly even sidewall, the 245's are a little stuffed, would prefer them on a 8.5 or a 9 but they work for the testing I wanted them for. All the bushings right now are Mazda Comp bushings but the new control arms use a pretty high durometer poly bushings. I'm going to try those and see if I need Delrin. Emilio at 949 has run them on some serious cars and doesn't feel Delrin is necessary since these are a good bit stiffer than standard poly bushings.

    Will the 99 miata head swap into a transverse setup? I don't really follow much on that end so I'm not sure. I know most early 1.8 things do but I don't know what on the NB's transfers as well. I've got some 1.6 heads and the early 1.8 head as well but I'd rather sell the whole motor for that setup. If you want the stock pistons I'll sell those for $60 with the rods. They've got about 27k miles on them.

    Well if you have a lot of on track experience, I would go with the motons. If not, just get the koni's because most of your time will be spent on learning the car.

    So im guess that is the racing beat front bar? Adjustable endlinks?

    I would try to run a bigger rear spring and no rear bar. This will help the car get off the corners and a little more feel mid corner

    yea it will swap over fine... dont need the early ones there no different, i want the 99-00.

    I'd planned on removing the rear bar anyways. Even now its a little tight in the rear and I know that with stiff enough rear springs it would just slide everywhere.

    I sold the one I had for $630 but I'll have another setup pretty soon from another car. Probably sell it a bit cheaper since its got a few more miles on it, but still under 12k.
