Is there a secondary ecu for the automatic still hooked up?

There is no way you have the right ECU setup in there if it's throwing that code. Check for a Transmission Control unit and make sure that your ECU is ACTUALLY a manual ECU for your engine.

If u are using a manual ecu then it would not have code 70 like wat kaiser said.
