I wouldn't spend any money.
I'd stick to having a "teggy" and "2nr"ing it.
240s are sick. But i would just get some spray for you integra that would be more gooder than tunering an integra.
ill sell you a converted one for $6500.
"...I'm a thief, I'm a liar, There's my church, I sing in the choir..."
im still going to keep my integra, i jus want to start drifting and i want to buy a rear-wheeler to work on as a hobby. im planning on buying 1 for the summer and i know its hard to find 1 in decent condition so im jus lookin for price range to plan my strategy out.
just a thought... but you mentioned in your other thread that you and a buddy had to combine money to buy a car to start drifting. can you afford tires? how about $75-$90 entry fees for each event? you said you planned on swapping it, know how much that actually runs in the end?
just some stuff to think about. drifting isn't a cheap sport by any means (unless you're one of those ghey internet/street drifters).
save your money.
other thread? i dunt know what your talking about and yes i know how expensive drifting is $4500 for a redtop sr with side mount intercooler, but im not trying to get the car ready in a week so money is not a problem-next time make sure you know who your're talking to b4 you assume their economic statusOriginally Posted by HiPSI
for just a clip? if so u getting ripped. if u paying for labor u still got ripped. oh and u forgot lsd, tires, clutch, and a decent suspension. u drift a fowty with stock front suspension and u wont have a front suspension.Originally Posted by teggy 2nr

I'll sell you a red top for $4000.Originally Posted by teggy 2nr
Way better deal then that $4500 you'd pay.
tiger racing told me $4500 for clip and labor including brand new stage 4 clutch, intercooler piping, and some other stuff--do you know anywhere that will do it for less but still reliable?
as for the others--i plan on getting a kaaz 2-way lsd and tein superdrift coilovers 1st--then ill put more effort in the car if i have money--im only 18 so this is still sort of new to me--but hey, every1 gotta start somewhere..
We'll put it in for ya for $4200. We'll get you the motor and install it.
What is your shop called halfbakedOriginally Posted by HalfBaked
I've got a 240 at my shop that doesn't have an engine in it, a RB20DET front clip, and the matching rear end. If your are interested let me know and I'll put the owner in touch with you. I think he's got $2,500.00 in the clip/rear end and $500.00 in the car. He'd probably take what he has invested. Gotta tell you though, the $4,200.00 to $4,500.00 might get you rolling but it's going to cost a lot more to make a decent drift car.
that's the cheap "drifting" ... to REALLY drift you need the $5500 engine swap... these people here don't know what they're talking about... better yet, spend $7500, you'll be drifting like a pro!Originally Posted by teggy 2nr

tein is shit, spend the extra money and get something good. or spend less money and buy the megans, same features better quality.

$7500 for a motor swap!!?? im talking about an sr20det red top-what kind of stuff do they do with $7500-if i8mma spend that much, they better do some forge cranks, polish, bore and pistons!!
why not drift with the KA like me
I'm not sure where you got a $7,500.00 price for a motor swap because that's way off my charts. You sure that amount didn't include some preparation for the car like suspension, brakes, tires, etc, etc., and some drivetrain improvements?Originally Posted by teggy 2nr
ka?--i heard the ka doesnt have as good a response as the sr and they have bad potential hp wise---ok new question people, what would you choose-ka-t or sr20?
lol sr anydayOriginally Posted by teggy 2nr
ca18 is the best motor for drifting.
I'd get one of those.
rb. more power and it will balance an s13 better

yay... here we go, SR vs KA-t vs RB vs 2JZ vs smallblock chevy debate....
just get what suits you. all of them can and will do essentially the same things.

RB20 front clip. Engine, Tranny, ECU, and Wiring Harness plus rear end. I did err, however, as he has $2,000.00 in the above plus a '89 240 (180SX Style) he has $500.00 in with clear title. $2,500.00 for everything. He wants a Miata. Clip came from Jarco.Originally Posted by 1439/2000
I'd rather have no engine then an rb20 in my 240.
That and I like talking shit about rb20s because they are slow.
I'll sell you mine for $6500. sr20, silvia front end and a bunch of goodies, 5-lug, 300zx twin turbo wheels, racing seats, coil overs, all that fun stuff.
hmmmm--$500 for the car? no engine? and what condition is it in?
are you talking to me?Originally Posted by teggy 2nr
