    Default Stick situation

so today i got home from work, and decided that i want to start to shave my car of all the stupid and ugly outside trim pieces. so i went to work and pulled it all off. i thought to myself "well thats half teh battle"
    wrong
now i cant get the fvckin adhesive off to save my life. like, the larger chunks are no problem, but its the residue that it left behind. what can i use to remove the residue that wont take off my paint. or am i just better off buyin some double sided tape and putting the stuff back on

    Rubbing alcohol works well.

It may dry out the paint. Just wax when you're done.

x3 goo gone does as it is advertized. Completely removed some bumper sticker residue the PO had left behind.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

I had the same problem when I debadged my car. Goo gone didn't cut it for me, I had to wet sand to get it all off.

    Solvent or thinner

Or if you have a compressor there is a air tool that is made for that I forget what it is, I used to use it all the time on cars detailing them if the owner wanted stickers or something removed.

Eraser wheel is the best way to go. Or use a buffer with a wool pad and some 3M or Mirror Glaze polish.
