    Default safety gear

I understand safety is top priority when riding a motorcycle, but it's Georgia. How do you people stand wearing a leather jacket, boots, pants, gloves when its high 80 degrees outside and Georgia is known for its humidity also.

Run as fast as you possibly can down your driveway and then pretend like you're sliding into home plate.

Because we aren't candy-ass pansies like you?

Guess what... 100 years ago there was no such thing as air conditioning and people had to walk or ride their smelly horses (or donkeys) around in the very same heat and humidity at a typical speed of like 25 mph. They had it worse because there weren't water fountains on every street corner, and no such thing as composite breathable textiles like polyester or nylon.

Times have changed... and while many people who have grown up in the modern age with air conditioning, electricity, etc... some people can get by fine without the benefit of such amenities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
