Guess what... 100 years ago there was no such thing as air conditioning and people had to walk or ride their smelly horses (or donkeys) around in the very same heat and humidity at a typical speed of like 25 mph. They had it worse because there weren't water fountains on every street corner, and no such thing as composite breathable textiles like polyester or nylon.
Times have changed... and while many people who have grown up in the modern age with air conditioning, electricity, etc... some people can get by fine without the benefit of such amenities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
