I have a CAI on my B16, & take the 2nd piece off & it's a short ram. You get more low end power with short ram because the air doesn't have to travel through as much tubing. In the long run CAI will be good because it's not sucking the hot air from under the hood. I have a cut out in front of my bumper where the CAI filter is & when it rains it gets wet all the time, never had a problem what so ever. Think about how much tubing the water has to go through & if there is a little bit of water it would probably evaporate in the intake manifold.
