    Default How Much

Should I expect to pay to rebuild the 5th gear in an SE-R LSD 5 speed tranny? The tranny is not currently in a car. You can put it in 5th, but with any gas at all it pops out. First quote I got seems high...400-600

still though, you physically have to pull the tranny and pull the tranny apart. $400 seems fair-ish.

Might be worth looking to see if you can find a decent transmission from one that has been wrecked of just someone selling a good transmission. Might be less money and less of a headache. btw nice meeting ya a few weeks ago bro.

yeah my car was pissing me off that night... wasn't focused at all. oh well. ya got a quick car and I like the wheels on there! but I have a sunroof jk. My other project will be done soon I hope. found the guy to make my driveshaft for it...

Anyways, I am sure wunquikser and a few others will know of a good solution about the tranny. try PMing them. Or going to the Nissan section, they seem to be good help there.

lol. thx. I'll let ya know when I get the new ones. It'll either be this week. or beginning of August, and I'll meet ya at reynolds with them. You'll have to get a switch for them and maybe a little more wire depending on how much my new ones come with.

Is that from a shop or person in a garage? One thing also to look at is when paying a shop, you are also paying for a warranty, not just labor
