Hey IA i've sold my SI EF Hatch and now got my hands on a 89 crx si. Plans are to swap in a JDM D15B Vtec and add a JRSC, was wondering if anyone could tell me or know anyone who has done this setup before, how was it, power band, and torque wise.

thanks...i just want something stock looking but would put out a BANG surprise on the other drivers face...lol
why not use all that money n get a b or h swap
that depends on the other driver your trying to "impress".Originally Posted by Uptown401
It would be a fun setup. But a simple B with minor mods would give you a run.
i think imma stick with the single cams for now.
mhm...why not H2b..
or mess with the sohc a lil....try bisi, exospeed, onecamonly, d-series.org, etc.
D15B VTEC FTMFW
d15b with boost can easily take 99% of n/a b-series on the road.
its gonna have to be supercharged or Boosted really, but imma see how a supercharged d series is, heard its just alot of fun...!
go turboed build the motor low compression bottom end dont listen to these guys with their oh imma get a gsr everyone and theyre mom has a gsr now. Get rods lowcompress pistons a golden eagle block gaurd and arp headstuds and 15 lbs on t3 t4 gaurantee u will run high 13
just dont race anybody until you get boost, because i ran a jdm d15 in my h/e 1.6 miata and whooped his ass.
do u have the 92-95 d15b dual vtec or the 96-00 non vtec d15b
there is a guy on here that has a JRSC'd black del sol and he has been running it for sometime.
TOO BIG
Something was wrong with that car then...or it wasn't the D15B VTEC just a D15B. Because having owned a EF with a D15B VTEC and being a previous Honda fanatic I can tell you a Miata would not keep up with one. And I own a Miata lol.Originally Posted by jesse4846
thats like 2gs + into a d series. if he cant afford to move onto a b or h series that will never happen.Originally Posted by jdmhondager
Maybe he WANTS a D series. I could have had a B16 or D15B VTEC and I took the D15B VTEC, B series are not the only way.Originally Posted by no mo hondas
i built mine for about 1000 man i ran that same set up and i pushed 334 on 14 psi and ran a 13.7

thats the point im getting at if he on here asking easy question like this. he isnt doing his own labor. he will spend an easy $1400+ on labor for a build like that.Originally Posted by slovic-fcc
oh well shoot kid needs to learn thats what i did i didnt know what i was doing but it slowly comes together if u know something about cars
im out this thread but D series FTMFW
i just recently sold my jdm b16a swap, so really im just hopping onto a d-series to get it boosted or supercharged. hey JDM D15B $500 complete swap cant go wrong. In a crx Boosted or supercharged...might be a well worth of investment for a everyday daily driven fun car.
my friend dusts 1.6 miatas all day every day easily with his vtec D15B with dx tranny lol
I give out reps....
I sold my b16a just so i could rebuild my d-series and throw it back in.
WORD, u wanna be known as the under dawgs huh lol....SOHC Spanking B Swaps lol...thats my goalOriginally Posted by green91
I had a n/a si CRX(90) and whooped on miatas,240, and the whole nine. Its diff if thats what you wanna do the I say go for it. It'll hold as long as you dont over do itOriginally Posted by jesse4846
