my gf's dad had the gauges and did the reading... that's when he decided it needed a recharge... then when we went to do check the readings again and put the freon in.. that's when it stopped working (he hadn't put the freon in yet)

no he did not vac anything out... but again.. as the thread states HE WAS NOT ABLE TO PUT ANY FREON IN!!!

he hooked up the gauges when the clutch was engaging the first time.... took the readings.. said the low side was a lil low.. it could use some freon.... (he knows quite a bit about cars so i trusted him with it) we drove the car 2 minutes down the road... turned it off... went in the store.. bought the freon.. turned everything back on... .and when we went to hook the gauges back up and put the freon in there was no reading on the gauges and the clutch would not engage... no freon was added...

and no lines were vacuumed out...
