you dont need to sea foam of if its just been rebuilt.

you still haven't told me the set up. Is it aftermarket??? Did you raise or lower the compression????
type-r pistons with new rings...
bottom end was rebuilt , seafoaming through brake booster would clean the head.
^^ It actually cleans the top of the piston. It don't do much for cleaning the head if you're refering to the intake and exhaust ports. If you pull the intake and exhaust manifolds off and use pressurized air, you'll break off the carbon deposits that's lingering within each side. Just make sure that the valve that you're blowing out is closed.
K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.
well i seafoamed it , the idle even went down to 700 from 1000...and i havent seen the CEL blinking since.
my guess would have to be in the gas. how long did the car sit before being rebuilt?
other than that if the valve adjustment is just a little too tight, there wont be any ticking, just misfires. anyways it sounds like you have it licked so good luck.
Who knows?
yea...i really need to put in that o2 sensor, light comes and goes when it wants to...until i go WOT then it just dissapears for 20-30 min lol
can anyone help me wire it in?...its a brand new bosch o2 sensor...when i was pulling the motor it ripped out the male/female plug from both ends...now i dont know where they go especially since the bosch sensor has different wire colors...
Why don't you just fix it the right way by taking it to someone who knows what they are doing vs. playing supertech and ultimately accomplishing nothing while the light stays on? Without fixing the problem, It's gonna take at least 40 key cycles before the light goes out. Everytime it flashes, that means yet another code popped up or the same code has come back up. OBDII isa totally different animal than OBDI.

the O2 sensor should have instructions on which wire goes to which. just put bullet connectors on there so you can connect/disconnect them. after you are done correctly wiring the sensor, clear the ECU by either removing the negative terminal, or the 7.5A fuse in the under-hood fuse box named "back-up". voila, done.
Who knows?
theres 2 blacks a green and a white on the bosch sensor...does anyone have a helms or knows how to wire it up?? too many combinations for me to connect/disconnect over and over again and its not in the most easy to get to place either
well...ive tried about 3 combinations so far and reset the ecu before i crank it over and light comes back...HELP!
ok first off, check out this thread..... http://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1901557
second, give us the codes that its throwing.
Last, if you changed all the wires, cap, rotor, plugs, and its still doing it, go to the local auto store and pick up a timing gun. This tool will help determine where your timing is at. Seems to me, that you may have jumped a tooth, lining up the marks on the crank isn't always accurate.
well i kept trying different combinations , and IT WORKED!, the CEL is not on anymore , the only light i have now is the ABS which is because i didnt use the ring on the new axles...car is almost 100% , just need A/C beltthanks everyone for the help in this thread. i guess the misfire WAS because of o2 sensor , i have a walbro 255 so im guessing too much fuel = misfire? anyways...i hope it never blinks again...about to change my oil and its only been 200 miles

what are you trying to say? the light did not blink this time when it went it went away completely , it just stayed on so i thought maybe it just came loose and it was an o2 sensor code...Originally Posted by blackshine007
if it was just a single misfire the light would come on, not blink?
if it was just 1 .... it shouldnt blink ... but all 4 i think it will . to remind you to check the engine if it wont crank ... dont hold me to that tho .
