Those are the Cross Competition Suspension, actually. They are getting installed, but they also have to be corner balanced and aligned.Originally Posted by chnco

YES SIR!
OOOO SHIT BRANDON!! he called you a boxter driver.... I dont even have your car and that offends me... this could get dirty
yeah back on topic i have only heard one bad thing about these from a N.A.S.A h1 driver in cali.. he blamed his coilovers for a 1.5 second increase in his times at buttonwillow..but too many other variables are there to make a sound decision that it was the coilovers

Perhaps he didn't tune them for shit? That plays a large part. They were used by the winning car in the European Magazine Porsche Tuner shootout 2 yrs ago.Originally Posted by ATLS2K
Then again, they are they Cross Competition Suspension. What version were you talking about?

not to be rude or anything... but how much did they set you back (ballpark)
mine were 110 bucks for universal fits, so im guessing since his are more shiney and painted, no more than 350 bucks. its just your run of the mill cheapo jic kitOriginally Posted by RandomGuy
You aren't rude...anything for my car is going to be pricey. It's a 6-figure car, so they jack up everything on you. It costs ~$2200 to chip it while it only runs $500 for the Audi/VW. Go figure.Originally Posted by RandomGuy
A fair chunk of change. I'd rather not discuss cost + install, but you can go to the JIC site and get a good idea on cost. Cross Competition Suspension for a 996 turbo. Install is about 2hrs labor per wheel + alignment + corner balancing.
Money brings out the worst in people at times, especially on this site.

And please post your impressions when everything is installed.
I can adjust the height and rebound. The rebound is 15-way adjustable. The height will require more work as I have to get it re-aligned and whatnot. Yes, I am expecting a rather large difference. Granted, the 911 turbo has a suspension that is greater than 99% of the cars on the road, but it is STILL somewhat tame so as to appeal to an "older" crowd of sorts. It sits up too high for my needs and while it may actually "ride on rails", I want it to ride even more so. Plus, I will be able to dial in an 8 in the rear setting and a 5 in the front so that I can correct the understear and push it to more of a neutral stance.Originally Posted by tony
