You can test your switch and see. It's not too hard to do. So you don't waste time installing it and find out it doesnt work.

Just use a 9v battery or a drill battery of some sort and a multimeter.

Attach a wire to one post, and then to the battery. Check the voltage at the other two posts. Then flip the switch and see if the voltage changes.

Then attach a wire with a resistor in it to the other post and check the voltage again to see if it has changed.

It's better to test it before you put it in.


As I said before Im not sure what kind of switch you have. Just because it has 3 posts doesnt mean it will flip between the two wires.
