Default broke/cracked tip of carbon fiber hood - need repair suggestions

so...just bought a carbon fiber hood, was taking it out of my hatch and bumped it while pulling it out and heard a crunch....

    .....

so now i'm left with one of the tips of the hood (near the windshield) that cracked/broke

now, the underside folded back, but is still intact (if that makes sense?) -- ie: the underside is still all there, but the 'top' is what is missing.

should I just get some kind of putty or something, mold it, epoxy it on there, and paint it glossy black? :-\

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
