Funny thing: Mine is black, but it has a red grill tacked on to it, and there is egg all over it, with a trashed interior( I bought it for $425, but it costed $800, and there is a list of cosmetic things that need to be fixed, runs good though...sorta)...so right now...I dont wanna put up any pics of it...I am ashamed

If you want to see it, go to 3584 Orbit Ct in Ellenwood GA(my bro's house). Thats where it is sitting until I get the all the money I need to do all the things I want with it.

Or if ya wanna know more or know something I dont, yall punks can call my cell, but I aint gonna answer it.....Ha-Ha. 678.791.5817 leave a message

like a glove...a really tight glove. lol. you dont even have to swap trannies. unless you want the ZE LSD. then you need MX# axles and mounts and you in business. you can even get the straight neck ZE in there without too much interfernce with the Brake master. and that motor in a 2400lb car compared to say your MX6 is night and day. a ZE in a 1g sedan runs mid to low 13's easy. then add nitrous and a set of nice tires and your dippin in the 12's. plus that mean ass sounding engine in a protege is just insane

here is a thread with pics of it done (bp-KL-DE swap)

YES more 1st gens...youve got plenty of options boost the stock motor, its good for up to 10psi on the stock. Or you can buy a japanes BPT like they said above. i went with the 2.5v6 b/c noone really does it. its an easy swap it has more room in the protege than it did when we put it in my friends mx3. 13's YAAAAAAAAAY.. ive got a lightened flywheel - custom y-pipe - full exhaust. i think it will be done this weekend i just had to get a new axle, and redo the radiator lines. which i am about to do now. me and you need to meet up so we can get u on the right track.., and u twinturbo.. mazdas unite!

I think u prob will take me.. But i still have like some stuff to get. I still need to get a axle. i got one BUT it was dismantled..and almost impossible to put back together. So i have to get it rebuilt somwhere, or buy a new one(which i prob will end up doing), and i get my clutch slave cylinder tommorrow. And i STILL need some god dam radiator hoses...i got some but they are too small....so know i have to go back and get the same kind only a bigger diameter. shits frustrating....but will be worth it. Its like as soon as i put the motor in my car all the little stuff took a shit. But i should be done so i can come out to northpoint.

You know...I wish I knew what you guys were you talking about...cause im so Oblivious to what is what, and I have a willingness to learn, but no one I know is really into imports. All they care about are 8 cyl engines and flowmaster.

I am a newbie, so you gotta work with me here.

Shit im more impressed by thte TT setup on your ride. My friend has been having bad luck with his Turbo Kl's as of late i think hes on his 3rd one. hes been thru them all Kf - Klde - ZE, and has boosted them. And they are beasts. Cant imagine the TT setup. Im almost done tho just need to get another axle for the driver side and im all ready to go. cant wait.. Let me know if u want to ge rid of that ZE.. ill take it off your hands.

My friend actually still has the car, I was holding out for 1500 dollars for the car, all aprts included with the engine already in. It needs a front bumper and side skirts, but the car is decent ( not great ) and really just needs tlc. If I don't get that, I am going to fmake it my next project as probes have so many more body kits etc....... I just have to redo my setup and get a rebuilt motor in my car. two cars and the bike are going to bleed me. And I really really want a new bike... damn i need a better job.

My best advice is to first start off thinking about what kind of car you want. do you want a show car, street beast, everyday driver, or what? that's where you need to start first. If it's a show car then the first thing i would say do is to clean up the body work. If it's going to be a race car then don't worry about the body and put a new engine in it. god knows that if you only paid 800 for it the engine couldn't be that great. if it's an everday driver i would say personally just fix the problems that are wrong with it and work with a car that has many opportunity's, like as much as i hate to say, a civic. They have lots of cheap parts and a shitload of people know how to help you fix things.
I have a protege5 and right now it's my daily driver. i'm trying to build it for show but i know that i'm not going to go all out right now and then have some idiot atlanta driver run into me. I'm looking for another car that i can drive everyday and not care what it looks like.
My first opinion whatever you do is wheels should be the first thing. Show cars should have big wheels and small tires, race cars should have small wheels but lots of tire, and daily driver is somewhere in between.

Here is the number one thing that you have to ask yourself before you do any of this: How much time, effort, and money are you willing to put into this. ask that question first.

if you need any help just let me know, i'm on the elite forum all the time. my pictures are on our site too. www.eliteofatlanta.com. click on in the making and click josh. that's me.

Hey josh...you dont happen to drive a white protoge5 with a carbon fiber hood and a couple of logos on it (Elite on the rear diver side window), do you? Because if you did, you drove down Peachtree past the FOX this week.

If not, I feel real stupid.

I do the parking and event security for the FOX. I'm usually at the parking lot on the corner of 4th and Peachtree, but sometimes they send me up to The Georgian Terrace Parking....the one where they have that big-ass LOT A sign...I'll be at work Tuesday @ 6:00. If you ride around by 9:30, I should be in that parking lot behind the BellSouth building
