did you just apply the springs? they take about a period of 3 months for them to fully "Break" or "Settle" in , your car will appear more dropped then...

No, I've had the springs on for over half a year. I just recently installed my Tokico HP's. From the reviews I read, the Tokicos would raise the rear by about half an inch. My ride height appears the same after installing the shocks. I might just get Ground Control front coilovers if I can't any other way. Don't really want to switch from Eibach.
lolol, who said shocks would raise the height???!!!Originally Posted by TypeRPersonality

Many members there were ranting about how the Tokico HP's raised the rear by about half an inch, I was hoping it would do the same for me, since my rear appears lower than the front. Might be because of the subwoofer though.

Shocks don't support the weight of a car, the springs do...therefore springs determine the height of the car -- shocks controls dampening & rebound for the spring.Originally Posted by TypeRPersonality
Correct, any ride height change was probably due to poor installation. Or like on the koni's they have 3 perch settings for height, but that's only the Koni's as far as i'm aware.Originally Posted by speedminded
if the shocks are longer (or bigger in height) it will affect the height of your car. that might be what the people on that other site meant. but i dunnoOriginally Posted by speedminded

if you want that "dumped" look. Sell your current setup and go get some neuspeed race springs with some koni yellow struts. Thats the setup i had on my R and that shit was too low for me..here's pics to show u the height

The only way it will effect the height is if the shock is physically longer than the spring in it's compressed position and there is no room for it to go any further. You can normally compress a shock with your hand to a certain extent so there is no way it's going to support and hold up 1/4 or so the weight of a car.Originally Posted by Hulud
