    Arrow Idle problems!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so when I start my car in the mornings it idle's high around 1,800 rpms, just like everybody else's car, but once the car warms up the idle goes up a little(2200 rpms) not down to normal like it should, but if I wait till my car warms up and turn the car off and then back on it will idle about what it should anywere from 600 to 1,000 rpms, but usually around a 1,000 rpms which isn't normal I know but its much better then 2,200... Oh and another weird thing if I use my airconditioning before the car is completly warmed up it will just keep kicking on and off and is really anoying.... What Could This Be????????????

check IAV (idle air valve) turn your car on and let it warm, once is warm unplug the connector from the valve and if the car does something like dropping the rpms then the sensor is good, but if it doesn't do anything replace the valve. also check for vaccum leak in your intake manifold

I just did mine this weekend with my LS/vtec. I replaced the IAC valve and then found out that the fast idle valve had unscrewed itself(unscrew the two 8mm bolts, slide the plate off and the vavle just fell out).. i had the same surging idle 1k to 2.5k rpms and then fan kicks on and then idle'd at 1800rpms. but now that fixed..but i thought you was to screw that valve till bottoms out and back it out a 1/4 of a turn and close it up and then adjust your idle air screw. hmm well anyways its running fine now.

i seriously doubt its the FITV. seen as it happens when the car is warmed up. . I would lean more on the IAC

sounds liek the throttle sticking also.
have you messed with your adjusting screw?

and the AC issue could be a diff problem

EDIT:: double check ALL your vacc kines

i had the same problem and it still had the jumpy idle after the car was warmed up. it would only do it when i was at a stop. but yeah the FITV situation fixed my problem.
i'm pretty sure it will fix his to...

Have you thrown any check engine lights that can help us diagnose this for you?

hmm . try this tunr on your car and block the intake passge with your hand. if it shuts off then def not a big enough vacc leak.
if it stays on even barely . you got a leak.

set your adj screw close all the way then back it out about 1 1/2 turn. it will def vary
