Info on Luce? Its a rotory

im currently looking for information on the JDM Mazda luce. its a version of the older 929 that came stock with a 13b TII back in the late 80's. im looking to start out a project car and possibly swap in a TII motor and trans (the AT-MT swap will be a bitch and a half). so if anyone has any pics of information about the car or if ever this has been done to a USDM 929 it would be greatly appreciated. thanx

I looked into it myself..for awhile. that forum is like a dead - end..theres one guy one there with some info. but most of it is in the faq. my conclusion was, if u do it it will more than likely be a Automatic, b/c i know the automatic 929 / rx7 tranny is the exact same. But i never found out if the 5spd tranny will work on the 929. i also never seen a 5spd luce/929. It seems to be almost a simple swap, if u find a donor Rx7, i just never got any info on the transmissions. BUt i mean if the auto tranny is the same, the 5spd HAS to be...right? Another thing i realized that if you wanted to do a nice swap to a 929 it would be alot cheaper to swap in the JFT DOHC V6 3.0 Turbo. they sell them pretty cheap on corksport for 850$, and is supposed to be a direct swap.

oh its cool im not getting anything this summer just wanted to get some info cuz justin XelderX on the MSprotege forum is looking for a 2nd gen 929 for a possible project car. and well i am looking to start my own project car sometime after the summer, so no prob me stealing it up
