Default Stronger Alternator vs Capacitor for System

I am hooking up a 4 channel and a mono block amp for my system. It'll be pushing a good bit a power and i was looking into a capacitor or a stronge alternator to support it. I know the stock alternator only has like 70 amps. And if i run two amps it will wear it down. I have also heard that a capacitor is worthless and it also wears down the alternator. i'm not sure on what to do...any advice? suggestions?

DO a google search for something called "the big 3" It basically upgrades the wire between:

    The alt and battery.
The battery ground to the chassis
and the engine block to the chassis.

Helps keep constant power, and keeping the lights from dimming. Good luck.

what i would suggest is a capacitor, second battery (medium gel cell works great), and an orion mbr70 (don't know if they still make it), but it's better than an isolator in which it is a smart circuit (multiple battery regulator) that isolates and then couples the batteries together when needed and isolates them when the engine isn't running. i used one when i was into stereo shows and it was awesome.

i've got one if you are interested since i'm no longer running a high wattage system.
