Bro, take it from someone else that's been in the military for 3 1/2 years already.

You will deploy a lot unless you hold a desk job in the USAF. Hell, I'm Air Force and I've been gone 8 out the last 10 months. My 240SX is on jackstands in my garage with one engine still in the UK, and another stuck in customs right now. The reason I mention these facts is because it shows that the military will make you put personal things on hold if it's in the military's best interest.

    My point is this:

You're going in the military, so the following facts will apply:

    a) You won't get paid shit.
    b) You won't be around much to work on the car unless you're in a USAF desk job.
    c) Living in the barracks/dorms and having a project car is about as easy as defusing a bomb with a pitbull chewing off your nutsack.
    d) You come to grips with the reality that you are a soldier first, and you are never TRULY off duty. You can get recalled back at any time, any day, any place and get punished for failing to do so. This makes it hard to get out to race, or dedicate an entire day to working on the car.

I know you want to build an awesome, badass car. I wanted my S13 to be a full fledged track car, and I still do. But I learned a hard lesson that a project car takes time for a younger, single military person, and I've caught a lot of flak from a lot of different people in the process. (I'm sure Ryan Reynolds will agree )

I just don't want you getting your hopes up, only to have them dashed to pieces when reality hits you the day you've taken a sawz-all to your car and caused damage you can't fix, and you're left with a worthless chassis and no money to pay anyone to repair it.

    [/soapbox]

And for those asking about the video of the 450ZX TT.

If y'all can wait a couple weeks for me to get back from this current TDY I'm on (see a trend, here?), I'll post it up on here.
