I decided to make a new thread on the build up on the car so it won't be cluttered with the crap. So here it goes

We just threw a rod Saturday night. It's in the process of getting the built/stroked motor installed as we speak. I'm going to try to keep updated pics going on of the build up.

I think the stock rods just couldn't handle the torqe (thanks you know who ). Luckily the rods shot through the motor and not the hood. Here are the pics of the new built motor and the pistons. I obviously had to get a new crank and that came today along with some of the bearings. There should be some big big power here in the next week. I'll let ya'll know.

The covered parts are covered because we don't want to disclose that yet.

the pistons are fine. No signs of detonation

I'll post pics of the rings as soon as the pistons are out.

It was brought to my attention that since I had ARP head studs the block is not completely stock

. So the previous owner of the car had ARP head studs installed (just so we are all on the same page). I guess in Dan's pinion it's stock because it's a stock short block with stock rods and pistons

But I would rather not get into that debate in this thread if ya'll don't mind

it's a "stock block"....

but i wouldn't consider just ARP studs as a real modification, just a safeguard.

It was on more power. We put an intake manifold on it the night before Tunerfest. It dynoed 511 on much less boost...so It was pushing more power when this happened.

You guys must really be working hard, I mean you just finished Mogallos car, I think your about to start Jasons STi, I think Marvins Evo is done, You have the never ending wrx project hanging around there. Not to mention the 30 other cars that are all waiting for there chance to make huge power.

You guys are nuts

Theres alot of AWD Power hanging around that shop.

Did you look at the links in the beginning of this thread? Most of the cars progression is explained there.

Only 422? How much should it make? I don't know. I just drive the car.

Dan said that's what it's supposed to make on the GT35R with no cam gears. There is no cam gears on the car. And I'm not totally sure why yet, but Dan doesn't want to tell what it was making once we put the manifold on. I'm sure he will tell at some point...he usually has a good reason when he doesn't want to tell something. I'm actually surprised that he's being so open about the pics and stuff ???

WELL, FP guys are making 422wtq with the new "white rabbit" turbo...which is 1000x smaller than the 35r....

this car was camless on race fuel and a AEM EMS..just thought most 35r cars made around 500tq.

i wish i knew what the car was making when if fawked up....and the conditions...so i make sure i watch out for it

and i have followed the build to some extent, but i didn't click the links at the beginning

on another note, Tracy, still planning on being at Roebling in july? I need some more evos there with me...got a certain Z0h to outrun!

I won't be taking the Evo if I go. It will be making toooo much hp for road racing. Maybe I can bring the 240 instead.

I guess Dan said it would make more TQ with the cam gears. Dan says that the stock block is good for 500. He said that he wouldn't push a customers car more than that. We are going to put this turbo kit that we made into production now that we blew up the car. That's what we were waiting for. We just sent the flange that we made to be cut. We have had like 100
e-mails on people wanting to buy the kit. It will be a lot less expensive than some of the other GT35R kits out there.

We blow up our cars so you don't have to

We did the same with or Supra and 240...push it to the limits so we know for when we build customer cars.
