D'oh! I would love to go, but I will be in Vienna & Budapest (with my camera, of course). I'll post some pics for everyone to see for those that are interested. I shoot with my D300/Canon, and have my boring kit lense and my favorite lens in the world, the USM/IS 75-300mm f/4-5.6. I love this lens!
I do need a good low-light lens suggestion, if anyone has one...

It doesn't take a genius to mash the gas pedal... but can you drive?
I have a 30D but only with a 18-55 lens I think is what it is (came with it). Looking at a 70-200 L but not sure which one, a few shorter ranges, and a wide. I hate driving in the city though so I might get a friend to drive it.
BUt does sound like fun.

Did we ever decide if we were going to do architecture shooting or photojournalist type shooting? I think we should go down to Centennial and start off from there. I'm sure there'll be a bunch of people jumping around in the fountains and maybe we could get some creative shots from there.
Just an idea.
Sounds good Jaime. Centennial it is. And I vote for photojournalistic , but anyone can shoot anything I guess.

Thanks... just got into photography so I figured this would be a great thing to do. But can't figure out what to spend money on.... car or camera... LOL!
If anyone knows where to find great deals on CF cards Ultra II 1GB + please let me know... I was stupid and only bought 1 stick at BB when it was on sale for $50 out the door. Also need a spare battery.
But yeah Cent park sounds good.

The photobank allows me to dump all the images on the card onto the harddrive, and while I wait I have another card available. Photobanks can be purchased around 120-180ish. Its much more worth it than picking up a handful of cards. All wedding photos are shot in raw+jpg (the camera saves them at the same time in two different formats , something im sure the 30D can do also), so that if I need to some post processing I still have the raw file, but also having jpg leaves it easier to transfer since I dont have to re-save the file. But shooting in a hi res raw and hi res jpeg can eat up a memory card. I think 2GB's only gets me 100 captures.. LOL
No kidding they are expensive! Hmmm sounds like a nice buy there, Ill have to look into that. Yes it can do the RAW + JPG :-) Is there a plugin or something for photoshop so it can read the c2v or whatever the extension is of the RAW? Im also looking at getting a 250+ GB external HD just for photos. Battery life of the camera isnt that bad.... was around 300-400 pics half raw+jpg and only a few flash.Originally Posted by Nemesis Digital
As far as size I got around around 200-300 pics assorted quality.

Do NOT buy an external hard drive set. Theyll rip you off. Its easier to build your own, and it looks the same and performs better sometimes. Are you going to Drift Fury this Saturday? There is a guy named Mark from Floridaracing. He shoots with a 30D, and Im pretty he went the whole day on one battery. Might wanna ask him how he does it lol. But honestly shooting in raw is more trouble than it is unless you have no time to adjust for white balance, and major changes in exposure.
Hmm don't know anything about it actually. Been busy for past while and havent even really did anything to get my club up and going nor be online.
yeah im buying an internal drive with external enclosure.

photobanks are just one more thing that can screw your photos up befor you get a chance to back them up. But im sure they are pretty reliable.. Im just not sure if i would bet a couple hundred grand on them yet??

Len's arent cheap these days.
My reccommendation , is to invest in a low light prime lens. I know Nikon offers a 120 dollar 50mm f/1.8. Which is an awesome low light lens. And it being a fixed focus, requires you to think about your shots more and where you position yourself! Itll make you a better photographer, its affordable, and ultra sharp. I know Canon offers something similar.
Danny do you know anywhere local I can buy an omnibounce really fast and cheap![]()

but yea, ur probably right, im sure they are reliable.. i just dont have one![]()

Yes, what is up George? I tried calling you a while back to no avail. Good to see you are still doing well. I had no idea you were into photography. Very cool. I am trying to break into product photography right now as an assistant so I can short-cut my way through going to school for it.
So send me the details I will be there.
What do you drive now? I totaled the Probe and got a 350Z. Then I got an Evo 8 (because it is better). :-)
