**ATL Meet/Mountain Run March 26**

OK - this next meet will hopefully be a multi-car meet/mountain run in north Georgia. We meet up behinda Chevron gas station off the exit. It's very easy to find.

Coming from the south, (which I think most of you will be) - just take 400 NORTH to exit 14. This exit ramp loops around....make a RIGHT off the exit and go down for about 1/8 or so mile, the Chevron is on the left.

After we all meet up, we'll be on our way further north off GA400. There's another Chevron up there, (if you're going to need gas) - but once we're up there, theres not too many other things besides an AutoZone.

Im not 100% sure on what time - but it will be in the morning...approx 11:00 am. If you think you're going to attend, bring along walkie talkies if you have them. Maybe a passenger to get some sick footage :nopity:

There's over 150 miles of road if Im not mistaking. We can do a lot of roads...flat, hilly, straight, curvey....etc. It'll be VERY fun, I went today and it was sick!

Meeting at gas stations doesn't work too well because you'll get kicked out before everyone arrives then the people running late won't have a clue where you went. Mountain runs on Saturdays are not the brightest thing to do either...too many bicycles, tourists, and alot more cops than on Sunday.

My suggestion would be meet at the Home Depot across from the Premium Outlet Malls in Dawson Co. and if you need gas stop at the Chevron at the Hwy. 400/60 intersection about 10 miles North. If you meet at 11 then it will be at least 11:30 before you roll out and then you end up with an early lunch or really late cookout....

If that's the weekend you want then I can help you organize it.

We meet up BEHIND a gas station. And people didnt get run off today. Today was Saturday and it was fine....there were a lor of bikes, but not an extreme amount. Didnt see any cops.

We can do lunch or whatever, it doesnt HAVE to last all day. There's a Pizza Hut near...

The VW's set it up, Im just spreading the word.

im down for my first mountain run! just let me know on some more info and exactly what day and time so i can request it off in advance and not have to worry about not making the run.

Do you have a route planned? How about lunch or a cookout? Pizza hut would take at least 2 hours with a large group and you always try to avoid driving through the towns because it draws too much attention. If you wanna cookout then it might be nice to know what we need to bring. Can you give a link or copy the thread/post for the VW meet?

try Toosy's bike shop parking lot. That's where s2k club meets every time before we run. It's .1 mile before you hit the last Chevron going 400N.

Saturdays aren't very ideal to attempt a run... unless u wanna sight see lol. If u go on Sunday and need some help with routing or whatnot i'll go. Just give me a call. Corey- 770-365-8567

holy shit, is that 180? Judging by the bank and underground power it looks to be right below wolfpen gap...doesn't really matter how sticky your tires are when the asphalt is cold. Hope they made it out ok, is there a thread for the accident?

Thank God we lived!!! I was smart enough to park my car nearby because I started breaking loose with my worn rear tires espeically more in the weather and rode with the guy that drove the yellow S. He' a real good driver and those RE050s are sticky sticky, but that wasn't the problem...

without our seatbelts, we would've been seriously injured or dead. Just be careful when you go out there...shit can happen...

btw, we were headed clayton for lunch...i forget what rd that is...it's the way to go to clayton from T's corner.

Hmm.... I might try to make it up to that. My autocross suspension may be a little too insane for those mountain roads, but we'll see. Worse comes to worst, I can steal mom's car for the day. She'll have the td06 20G in by then, so it'll be interesting to see how the car acts up there.

Sunday is definitely better for me, though. I will be in Columbia the day before getting all the graphics put on the race car.

Just to let everyone know i was there this weekend had a great trip.

Found out the best route to take is

19/60 -> 60 -> 180 -> 129 -> 180 -> 348 -> 75 -> 129 -> 19/129 -> 180 -> 60 -> 60/19

just be careful 60 and 180 are full of gravel.
