well we had a blast yesterday, no rain until we were more then halfway home, about 8:30 or so.

LOL and next time when someone posts a route, (I was bring helpful, its called planning ahead) please dont think of it as a "stupid post" and "they will bust you" we were on a very organized run and no problems with anything, when you play nice you have nothing to worry about

That focus group wasn't involved with this mtn run...don't know why they even posted their route and pictures in someone elses thread.

The run went great minus one minor mishap at stonepile gap (let them involved explain) and one person got a ticket on the way home...which was complete bullshit. Mike, I, and the bimmer were all running together with two "civilian" cars....mike and I were up front and there was no way we were going over 70-75mph when we saw the officer and when he passed us....yet he locks it down on 400 north to cross and pull the last car in line over for doing 80 in a 65. Mike and I pulled over less than a mile up the road and waited to hear the news.

I'll have pics and vids up soon...

i would be very willing to bet that i know the area 1000x better than you do. the local law enforcement DOES patrol car forums like this... and they DO set up speed traps and monitor the area. just because you did not have an incident doesnt give you the all knowing of what goes on in the mountains...

dude I'm not saying I know the area better then you or your friend or the cops. WHO CARES?? I saw those idiots patrolling in the planes, as well as a few black and whites between runs (Tellicafe, CVS, and the BP as well) If you go doing dumb shit don't be surprised if they fuck with you, like the above mentioned... especially when you are with immature people or people looking for a thrill. The drive itself is a thrill, not driving in a 15 mph zone @ 45. thats what Im saying. I am "very willing to bet" you wouldnt last 5 minutes "in the area I know". we dont have to leave GA either

Anyways I know I posted last minute, I was just posting our results and I hope we can get a larger group for the next time!! we should really try to make this a monthly run?

come on now, nobody goes on these runs to go the speed limit and im sure you are no expection. i dont drive hte speed limits through there either. but i dont go excessive speeds or push my abilities... im very aware of my surroundings and traffic. im saying it is a bad idea to post routes because law enforcement would not rather do anything than bust up a bunch of car guys through the mountains... the gsp loves that shit. ive been on several of the IA started runs and although not everyone acts a fool, there is always somebody that does.. and i dont go on them anymore because i dont want to be guilty by assocation, which is how law enforcement sees it. they can always find something to harass you over

i prefer small groups opposed to large ones... i also like weekdays much better. on weekends you really gotta watch out for the bikers and leaf lookers... its nice when its clear out and you can concentrate completely on your driving

yea I hear ya dude. Im not opposed to "spirited" driving, but wreckless driving is another story. All I'm saying is dont be obvious and blatantly stupid and you wil be fine. you will always have a fucktard in a group, the bigger the group the larger the chance of having more then one

anyways hope to see you fools on the next one!
