Although the event scheduled for March 14th was canceled due to weather, it has been rescheduled for Sunday MAY 24th

WHEN: Saturday, March 14, 2009
WHERE: Silverdollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA
TIME: Gates open @ 10am and racing begins @ 11am. Quick 8 Eliminations will begin approximatly @ 1pm. That time is subject to change due to attendance and the track workers, but will not start any earlier than 12pm. Racing will end between 4pm and 5pm depending on racers & the track.
TECH CARDS: Tech cards cost $25 and include an event t-shirt only if you pre-register. Pre-registration will end February 28th. Tech cards will go up in price @ the track to $30. So, register early, save your spot, and save yourself some money!!!
*[If you plan to attend, but are not sure if your car will until after registration ends due to modifications or car problems, email me and we can work out something to not have to pay $30 at the track. [email protected]]
GATE FEE: Silverdollar charges a fee of $10/person to get in their gate. This is not related to your tech card price. This includes all spectators as well as racers.
QUICK 8: Guarantee Cash payout for the quickest four cars.

Caravan from Downtown Varsity

i know you will be, ive been there with ya for the past 3 years, well i think i missed last year. this is always a really good track day though, i have really enjoyed myself everytime i have went.

It seems like it....everytime I go somewhere I always get some ying yang with, "Hey, I got a 1500HP Civic with Vtec that'll run you...." I'm in a Lex folks, a freaking Lex.....not a Supra or Mustang or Vette.....WTF????

I just laugh....

True story: I was at Kroger one night with my son pickup some groceries. Yep, groceries in a grocery getter. We're leaving and some guy with his girl pull up out of nowhere, starts asking about my car. I tell him a little bit about it, as it's no big deal....right? Well, he cuts me off and says that HIS car is faster and proceeds to do a peg-leg burnout/takeoff/wheel hop launch. My son looks at me, straight faced as could be, and said, "Dad, is he serious????"

I about fell out. The funny thing was that he even waited on me to get on the road to do the patented ricer fly-by. My son literally rolled down the window and said, "There he is Dad, tell him he's smokin' crack!!!!"

I rolled on the floor. Wife hates that story, but it was just too funny.

I would've put him in his place, but son was in the car.

Fun times.

Anyway, back to regularly scheduled programming.....this is an event to be at. If yall miss it, yall are fools. The end.

Oh, he does. He points our "ricers" all the time. He's right every time too.

It is a run what you brung event with a few rules for the quick 8.

You have absolutely no reason to be concerned about not getting enough runs in. We have had people get 45+ runs in. Granted he was hotlapping it trying to get a 0.000 reaction time..
