Although the event scheduled for March 14th was canceled due to weather, it has been rescheduled for Sunday MAY 24th

WHEN: Saturday, March 14, 2009
WHERE: Silverdollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA
TIME: Gates open @ 10am and racing begins @ 11am. Quick 8 Eliminations will begin approximatly @ 1pm. That time is subject to change due to attendance and the track workers, but will not start any earlier than 12pm. Racing will end between 4pm and 5pm depending on racers & the track.
TECH CARDS: Tech cards cost $25 and include an event t-shirt only if you pre-register. Pre-registration will end February 28th. Tech cards will go up in price @ the track to $30. So, register early, save your spot, and save yourself some money!!!
*[If you plan to attend, but are not sure if your car will until after registration ends due to modifications or car problems, email me and we can work out something to not have to pay $30 at the track. [email protected]]
GATE FEE: Silverdollar charges a fee of $10/person to get in their gate. This is not related to your tech card price. This includes all spectators as well as racers.
QUICK 8: Guarantee Cash payout for the quickest four cars.

Caravan from Downtown Varsity
We will have our usual caravan leaving from the Varsity Downtown promptly at 8:15am. Heading up the caravan will be Ronnie Hughes and his burgundy 3000GT. Please email us if you have caravan questions: [email protected]

i know you will be, ive been there with ya for the past 3 years, well i think i missed last year. this is always a really good track day though, i have really enjoyed myself everytime i have went.

It is a run what you brung event with a few rules for the quick 8.

You have absolutely no reason to be concerned about not getting enough runs in. We have had people get 45+ runs in. Granted he was hotlapping it trying to get a 0.000 reaction time..

as far as the quick 8 competition goes you say it starts at 1pm but how long does it last? cause i have no DOT legal tires so i want to come race but im not sure because if theres only 2 hours worth of "test and tune" that would be 1 or 2 runs tops for me LOL

they do test n tune the whole time and run all the quick8 stuff in between

Today is the LAST day to pre-register.. You can still register at the track, but will not receive the free T-shirt!!

^^that^^ you will have more than enough time to test and tune, that is what the vast majority of the event is.
