I got to test drive their test demo and was very impressed with it. In fact, Ford has been the only company this year to continue to impress me with their lineup.

It could be a possibility myself. I'd love an 04.5 GLI.

I was like you and was a fan of that gen, until I started working on them. Their build quality is absolute crap (referring to interior) and I could not wrap my mind around that enough to convince myself the rest of the car was built any better. They do not age well, and that's pretty much indicative of any VW older than the last couple years. The more recent models seem to be a trade off, they seem to be made more like Hondas in the sense that they are made in a way that is more resilient to time and wear at the expense of a false sense of luxury. It's nice, but at the same time they definitely feel like a cheaper car.

If I liked 4 doors, I would be working on saving for a GLI right now. I just can't get into them for some reason.

I know of a mkiv GLi in Tornado red for sale. In terms of quality, I don't really see them being much of an issue AS LONG as you take care of it. People that complain about the cars being shitty are those that put off maintenance until something finally completely fails.

In other news, my car is 97% complete and ready for a retune. I'm shooting for no less than 400whp on pump and no less than 450whp on E85 with a conservative tune for it to be reliable for track duty. I recently installed all STi interior and contemplating selling it to have a weld-in cage installed utilizing two blue recaro pole position seats. That wont happen though until we move into our new place.

Ep3 ctr front and ctr lip. Having to clearance it out for the flick. Then get it painted. Just making fun of how it is a multi colored front.

Flying back to Atlanta today but just to catch a buddies wedding. Found a 24hr gas station last night that sells 93&100 octane. Its hard to get anything over 91 out here so Ive been riding around with 8° pulled just for good measure. Got to put 8 back in last night and I got the pleasure of busting a C5Z06 and a SRT Challenger on the way home

Anywho, maybe ill bump into one of guys in Newnan tonight? Take care all!

Yay! Porsche gets fixed next week. Just the MAF sensor after this and I'll be done

After that, I can look at trading it in or selling it (if I can convince my dad).
