^ I should join this bandwagon.

My coilovers and springs are filthy. I should probably pull my suspension apart sometime and clean some things.

Does anyone have a corded/cordless impact gun?
I still can't get my axle nuts off.
Tried the breaker bar, putting a pipe on the breaker bar, and jumping on it. With PB Blaster, soaking for going on three days.
    Torque spec is 137 ftlbs.

If I have to, I'll go out and buy one. Just trying to not spend all of my moving money.

I'm debating on whether to buy a Dewalt impact or one from Autozone. I'm leaning towards Autozone 'cause theirs is only $100 and if I break it, it's warrantied. Both are cordless.

I'm expecting my clutch kit today. It left the Atlanta UPS at 1AM this morning, and they usually deliver to Lakeside between 12-2.

There's a dude on CraigsList selling a Dewalt 18v drill/impact combo, so I'm either waiting on him or trying to find a ride to Autozone to buy their 24v cordless impact. $165 versus $100.

So if anyone wants to come over and chill, I'll be attempting to pull my transmission today. haha

I have strong feelng that the cordless impact ain't gonna work.

How long was the pipe you got from home depot? Its bound to work dude! THe longer the pipe, the more leverage, but I'm sure you already knew that!

So, your car is undrivable at the moment? The only other idea I have is to take it to a shop so they can impact it loose for you, and tighten it back up. Atleast you know its been broken already.

Why don't you try to combine your posts into one post instead of making a new post for every one sentence. All I did was merge about 7 posts, you made back to back, into one. Later, QD.

I have a cordless Snap-On impact gun that produces 620 ft. lbs of break away torque if you want to give that a shot??

All right, I got those bastards off.
Breaker bar alone didn't work. PB blasted it for three days. Tried a 2 ft pipe I paid $5 for at Home Depot, nothing. Jumped on it and everything. Got fed up, so I walked to the freestanding garage where this mexican dude has 3 garages. He lent me a 6 ft pipe. That didn't work. I put my wheels back on, and drove it over there redlining. He put his impact on it, and still couldn't get it. Then he put the pipe and my breaker bar on, and it budged.

That was way too much work.
I'm gonna go see if he has a transmission jack and sockets bigger than 19mm so I can drain my transmission and get this stuff done.

The UPS guy hand-delivered me my package. The new clutch is gorgeous.

Also, anyone have a transmission jack they'd let me borrow, or worst case rent to me?

    I have to go pick up a 24mm socket, 'cause apparently I don't have one. I have a 15/16, but it's a deep-well, and I don't have enough clearance.

No transmission jack here, I usually just pick em up by hand or lay them on my chest if they are a Manual trans. Also I only have 24mm Sockets in deepwell (actually now that I think of it I believe mine is broken and waiting a swap out). I have a 24mm Combo wrench though if that helps.

I just walked to Sears and bought a 24mm. I'm going to take it back in a couple days to swap it for the $20 set they're sold out of. The guy told me some dude came in and bought the set because he needed a 17mm. Paying $7 for one socket is a little ridiculous, in my opinion.

I wonder if I'm strong enough to pull the trans without a jack.
