So I'm for sure not coming to the meet this week. I tried to drive my celica to Barnes & Noble. I made to the interstate area of 34 (so, a block or two), and there was some crazy slipping going on.
Luckily, I could leg it back to the apartment and pull into the garage. Now my hood's off, intake off, battery's out, and I'm getting rid of some rust spots and putting my mudguards on. I wish they didn't close the carports, 'cause I could degrease my bay.
Be sure to throughly check over any DSM you look at as their notorious of crankwalk...
MSP's have a weak bottom end FYI...
Z32's are cool but a PITA to work on...

Its a 2002 wrx wagon that I'm looking at. As far drawbacks with the platform goes weak 5spd gearbox. Any high quality sythetic fluid suggestions for it you can make? Both the transmision and diff.

You've been doing your research I see. I was going to mention the tranny but figured you knew that much. I'd see what others recommend on NASIOC/WRXA in terms of fluid. It varies from car to car. Unfortunately for me, I have to use this "special" Diaqueen crap via the stealership for the transfer case.

see I've read that subaru's factory backed world rally team used Neo Synthetics. So I'm kinda leading towards that. If its good enough for a factory backed race team, its gotta be adequate for a street car?

When I was a kid my Uncle had a 62' Falcon Wagon. I tried and tried to get him to keep it for me but he ended up selling it a year before I turned 15. It was like this body style but silver. I also was looking for another one of these or a hardtop 64-65 Comet or Falcon when I built me current car. Prices have gone up so far I couldn't afford to get one of them AND build a decent engine for it. So I paid $400 for my current car, drove it home, and ripped the drivetrain out and put my current combo together.
