So... its Labor Day and I have work. My parents and I are supposed to go to Tennessee last night and stay there til tomorrow but since I have to work, we didn't go. I go to work this morning, my schedule was changed apparently and I'm not supposed to work today AND NO ONE FUCKING NOTIFIED ME. I catch up with Jamie and the others to Six Flags, bought a ticket online (cheaper). They told me they're at Six Flags, I go to Six Flags AMUSEMENT PARK, they didn't notify me either that they were at the WATER PARK one. FUCK. $31.99 and 1/4 of the gas tank wasted. Today is not a fucking good day.

They can be a bit pricey but the work is top notch. They are the ones who did all of the work on my 351W. Bored .030, Torque Plate Honed, Align honed, turned the crank, resized the rods, pressed new pistons, and balanced.

I really just want the head cleaned. It's nowhere near horrible, but the exhaust ports are a little dirty.
Chastain Engine Center over here in Jonesboro is who I would recommend. I little further than Scotts and better quality IMO. Had troubles with Scotts a while back with an LS build.
I'm the only Asian server in there. I usually work morning shifts, at the Peachtree City one. I would get it from you anytime, I just don't have time at all.

What did they do wrong if you dont mind my asking? Everyone I know who has used them in the surrounding area seems to be happy with them and I've never had an issue thats why I always recommend them. If they are slipping that would be nice to know.
I know Zappa's in Newnan fucking blows. I wouldn't use them again if they were the only shop around. Fucked up my flywheel on my Escort, Fucked up my buddies king pins on his 68' F100 and my buddy even gave him the correct reamer cause the guy didnt have one, and then they fucked up my Bro-in-laws wheel bearing on his Taurus.

its alot of fun. it needs roughly 20hp more and a bit better engine response (liteweight flywheel!!!!!) decent springs, strut tower bars, and a short throw and it'd be pretty spiffy!

Schroeder, they built a former buddy's LS (bored .020 over and usual align hone and cylinder hone as well as measure for new bearings) and screwed up the bearing size. They were way off on the bearings.
did they assemble it?
its the person assembling the the motor's responsibility to check bearing size?

It was their responsibility to check clearance for the bearings. We had them do all the measuring and balancing and we assembled. Where the problem came into play is when we went to assemble the bottom end and when we put the bearings on the motor, they were obviously wrong. Bearings were placed right and they were too long and not even the right curvature. Even "pushing" them into place, they were too long.
^ maybe the wrong bearings just got sent?
There isnt THAT much of size in the correct bearings... Seems to me you just recieved the wrong ones..
Dont tell me you still used them tho??
I agree with mike. When i was going through H23's he did all the machining and assembling and everything was correct.
