Sup erybuddie? It's been a while since I could really post. Is there a meet tonight still? I may be able to swing through if time is on my side. Otherwise have a good meet.
I'll be out.
My new Koyo radiator came in today so I'll install that before. :)
Next weekend will be changing out all the bushings in the car. That should be loads of fun.
woot! car hunt finally over. picking up a del sol si tomorrow from a guy in alabama.
I got screwed too. Was gonna go pick up a Del Sol VTec but someone came to him, dropped a deposit, and said he will pay the rest next week. Just when I worked up enough money to get it too. First thing on the list with the del sol is to trade out the Work wheels that are on it. they look good but not my taste.
Yeah, I drove all the way to fucking Woodstock, and test drove it last night.
Told him I'm buying it today, when he gets off work.
He called me saying he just sold it for $3900.
First, whoever the dumb fuck is that paid $3900 for a '93 vert is fucking retarded. I had him talked down alot.
Second, now I'm pissed off about it, even though it wasn't in perfect condition, they're still pretty rare finds. So now I have to find a new car for Becky.
Are you limited to Toyota? Im a Craigslist whore and can find something for ya quick.
Give me a minute....assuming RR means the color red.
EDIT: found a grey one....
EDIT: found a white one....
red evo 8....
EDIT: silver MR
I THINK THEY WANT CASH FOR SAID CAR.... YOU HAVE NO CASH OR CREDIT... IF YOU GET THIS TO HAPPEN LET US KNOW HOW TO GET FREE STUFF FOR DOING NOTHING.
400 POST!!! IN ONE YEAR!!! I WIN!!
and that was just a search within five cities
LAWLZ I'M STILL LOOKING FOR A S2K OR G35 BUT I ONLY WANNA SPEND 15K I'M A CHEAP BASTARD...
TELL YOU WHAT ROXIE IF YOU CAN GET YOUR OWN CAR AND JOB AND PLACE WITH NO HELP FROM ANYONE I WILL LET A HOBO T-BAG ME. NO JK
I'm changing out the bushings to polyurethane. The durometer of a polyurethane bushing is higher which allows less flex in the bushing. After changing the bushings out on my boss's miata track toy, it was a night and day different how much tighter the car felt. It's a PITA job to do but IMO, well worth it.
ARE YOU DOING ALL THE BUSHINGS?
All except the front trailer arm as it's a static bushing. It's a quasi spherical bushing in a rubber surround so I'll just leave that one alone. I won't do the rear diff as I plan to replace those with BR's billet aluminum support brackets. :)
Have I seen it before? I can't remember if you're the accord with the stick-shifter automatic.
Send me pics. And mileage, any recent maintenance.
Wait... actually... if you're going to the meet, I'll look at it there. If I like it, we'll talk money. I put all my cash back in the bank when that douche sold the vert.
I like Toyotas 'cause I can tear apart a 5sfe with lightning quickness.
Celicas are my friends...
but I'm open to whatever.
Must be an automatic (she doesn't want to drive stick), must be able to drive 100+ miles a day (she works north of Atlanta), must have a back seat (we have a 5 year old).
Low mileage is a need, since she will put 30-50k on it by the end of the year.
We have about $3000, and don't want to spend all of it. Baby's gotta eat.
I will look around for you and see what I can find.
see you all, tonight.
Wish I could be there. Maybe next Friday night or something.
Fairly nice meet, freezing though.
Nice meeting some new people (Humphries), good laughs.
Yep nice meet
not to many nor to little
