The last time I went to Moreland was at the food giant or something and the parking lot races.

Then the cops blocked off the exits and helicopters came in with spot lights. It was pretty awesome.

lol yea moreland has history for the racing scene but honestly its chill to kick it with ppl and get a run in now and then but its not worth it. Now it would be nice to have the legal racing setup like they do in san diego. its somewhat like what atlanta motor speedway did but it was every friday. their turnouts improved over the years and kept alot of ppl off the street. Im telling you like this right now i definitly wouldnt be on runnin on da streets if i had a place to run at on da weekends. commerce is too far and silver dollar forget about it gas cost too much but if AMS had those friday night events every friday (when weather permits)alot of ppl would show up as long as they dont turn ppl around.That or if someone had a place to run on their property which would be chill. just a thought

This sounds like a good legal option to ease everyone's woes. If done properly, it would definitely be worth having to weed out the ricers that decide to show up. Hopefully the cover charge and legal activity would be all the ricer repellant you'll need.

As bastarling was saying earlier, the autoX at turner field is A LOT of fun to participate in or even watch, social, there's food and grilling there often, and it's not dangerous. Often it's cheap too.... You don't need to look cool for your ugly 14 year old girlfriends

this **** is too damn funny, but yeah i honestly agree with everyone on here about NOT street racing. i myself USED to street race all the time. the real problem was that i was one of those idiots that didnt really get the urge to go speeding down an inner city street until i had a few drinks in me. so not only was i being stupid street racing, i was doing it buzzed. even after i became a father. i didnt care about anyone else. i just wanted that rush. what if i died? what if i killed someone? either way, my daughter wouldnt have a father in her life and someone would be losing a member of their family. i dont care what anyone says, there is no safe way to street race. i thank god i stopped before myself or someone else was hurt due to my poor decision making skills.

It is an epic fail. Moreland is an epic fail, and it is still an epic fail because we have no nearby legal alternative to street racing. So yes, epic fail. Not saying this about anything or anyone. I'm just like you. I work hard all day at 3 jobs to keep afloat, I have one moneypit of a car I like to exercise on occaision, but don't want to drive 70 miles and risk not being able to do it at all just to enjoy it.
