this is just stupid !! moreland got busted big time about 6 weeks ago. the cops said that they let us dumbasses race and hang out there for a few weeks, then they bust us when our guards are down. on april 24th i have to pay a 400 dollar loittering ticket for hanging out at moreland. have fun and good luck !!
No ****. They've been doing that since I was in high school. It's nothing new. And then in a couple weeks some dumbasses will be out there and swear up and down "it's cool; the cops even come out there and watch it with us!" Then a couple months later those same cops block them all in and start giving out tickets. I can't believe people haven't learned this yet.

+1. honestly, the atl crew(s) should band together to try and bring about a legal venue of where to do this. No, I'm not talkig about Commerce drag way. 70+ miles to go, only to be turned away is not the business. I wonder what happened with the track that was supposed to be opened near Atl Motor Speedway?

Auto-x is at Turner Field and you sign up ahead of time so no getting turned away. How much more centralized do you need it to be? And you can't honestly say you would rather go in a straight line than taking turns and developing some type of real driving skill.

Not everyone's car is setup for autox. I'm just looking for a, nice legal spot to drag race, where you don't have to drive to bum-**** egypt and back and I'd be more than willing to pay for it. I'm pretty sure there would be quite a few people on here who are more than willing to pay for it.

Yea, I would also like to know what happen to it too. I know atl motor speedway does the friday night drag races but it's a 1/8. I know I heard rumor, i think it was last year that they was suppose to open up a quarter mile track. So what happen to that idea?
I personally stopped racing at Moreland. I do it at this really secluded strip where no one goes at 7pm let alone 2am. I dont care if I get neg repped by QD like that...is he trying to negate street racing by doing that? Or is he just satisfying his stimulus? He should really be a cop...

last time i went to moreland, i ended up running from the cops (on foot) lost my flip flops, got in my car and then drove off with 50+ other cars
went to the BP right down the street then went home.

QD is right though... street racing IS very dangerous and very costly to the bistanders that watch close to the side of the road like its a Gwen Stafani concert (spelling is off)...I enjoy driving fast on the highway... but i also like being able to take turns at high speeds... 95% of the people who go out to these meets couldnt take a turn at 40mph let alone 100... I enjoyed meeting a few people out there last night... but its just not worth MY JOB, MY CAR, or MY LIFE to street race and get caught or killed... but ill watch other people risk their sh3t
