I don't like SCCA events because they're a worse value than open lapping days- 4 or 5 runs for $30, and spending a whole saturday out there, is just not cool. If I have a weekend to devote, I'll do a HPDE with NASA or the PCA or some other group. I'm just looking for a quick event for a few hours on a weekend. I've done club autocrosses in Chicago, (Miata, BMWCCA, etc.) that are about $25 for 16 runs. It gives you a LOT more time to play with your line, different braking points, car setup, etc.

As an aside, what's your car setup? Do you track it at all? I have an S14 also.
