My roommates and I bought our Wii yesterday morning. At first, I was sketepical, especially since I really wanted a PS3 after playing on my buddies all day Saturday. Well anyway, we get home with the Wii, turn it on and started playing, 13 hours later, we stopped. It is that addictive!
Wii is probably the greatest game system I have ever played. I say this because once you learn how to use the controllers, it is amazing how much you can control the game! We bought Call of Duty 3, Redsteel, the new Marvel game, and Zelda. On top of that, the system includes the Wii Sports game, which IMO is the best game out currently. I hate sports games, every single one, even all the Madden, NHL's, NBA's, Soccer, etc. etc. etc. But the Wii sports is amazing! EVERYONE, whether you like video games or not needs to try Wii Sports. Even my roommates girlfriend was having a blast bowling and golfing! It still blows me away to think about how much you really feel like you are there.
Graphically, the system is slightly inferior, but the amount you get out of the gameplay makes up for it ten-fold! Plus, the newer games coming out in later months, will look damn good (more comparable to older X-360 games)
If anybody wants a next gen system, but not really sure which one, please listen to my advice and get the Wii, you will not regret it! Plus, the $250 price tag, is not too bad either!
I'm gonna go play 9 holes of golf right now!
