We seem to forget though that Vick affects the game in OTHER ways as well that Schaub simply cannot. When have you ever known the Georgia dome to be considered a big distraction for other teams coming in here? Even the last time we went to the superbowl attendance did not pick up until 6 or 7 games into the season when people finally realized we had a decent team.

And you cannot tell me that Vick does not inspire other players on the team to give their best. It seems like after one or two good runs it begins a snowball effect and you see a totally different team out there. A REAL good example of this is the season he got injured, I believe the team was about 1-7 without vick and when he comes back they win 4 games before the end of the season including Carolina who ended up going to the superbowl that year, my stats may be off but my point is Vick makes a huge difference on this team.

Personally I believe the man is going through a transition right now, I think he is realizing that he cannot be a running quarterback his entire career and at some point he has to work on staying in the pocket and throwing the ball. It may not be helping us right now but in the long run it is all for the better.

And my last point... defense. It doesnt matter what Vick does if the other team is consistently scoring on us. Samcon Gado has a career game and he was on the damn practice squad! What the hell is that!!? Every running back knows they can have their way with the falcons defense right now.. THAT is the achilles heel of the falcons this season. What running back have we shut down this year? Not one! The Chicago Bears are a good example of where a good defense will get you. Vick is going to make it happen, just keep the other team out of the damn end zone.

This is exactly what I think is going on, too. He's already proven himself to be a leader on this team. I also think he realizesthat he cannot do it all by himself. As you can tell by his numbers, he is not trying to run the ball every play like it seemed the last year or so. As he learns to sit and wait a little more and make plays through the air and not make the plays himself, he will get worse. Treat this like a rebuild year for the Falcons. If they win, great. If not, I won't abandon my fan status of the Falcons. I'm a Falcons fan, not a Vick fan. I've been a Falcon fan since the days of Bartkowski, Andrews, Cain. So I'm not a "Falcons are winning" fan. Later, QD.

I agree with this too. Also remember, we were hot at the beginning of the year, with only one bad game. We started losing players left and right. Vick was out, Duckett was out, our D-Line is not the usual starters. I'm actually going to Monday Night Football tonight, and I can't wait to see Vick play. Like the others were saying, he brings untangible stats to the game. That's how he's a superstar even without the numbers. Its the same reason someone like Dennis Rodman was able to be in the NBA for so long even after his scoring went down. He brought a lot of intangibles to the game that could not be accounted for in the statbook, but it did show up int he win/loss columns. GO FALCONS!!!!
